Would you like to tell your story, and to learn about storytelling? Would you like to share stories from your life, and be helped to present them in a way which others will want to look at and learn from? Would you like to have free access to a wide range of facilities and educational opportunities at the University of Sheffield, and to people who will help you to present your story in a way which you are proud of? Scroll down the page to read more about the course, or contact Brendan Stone for a chat (details below) 'Tequila Bar in Gleadless', by Neil MORE INFORMATION Storying Sheffield is an exciting course based at the University of Sheffield which works with Sheffield people who are not students at the University, as well as with undergraduates. Participation in the course is free. Workshops and seminars will be suitable for anyone, no matter what their previous level of education. We cover a wide range of topics, all related to storytelling. Themes include: Sheffield and other British cities on film; maps as a way of telling stories; architecture and narrative; performance; poetry; and more. Seminars are led by highly qualified academics, artists, and others. You will receive an official signed University of Sheffield certificate
for taking part, which you can use in applications for further study,
and for job applications. The course will require a minimum time
commitment of roughly 3 hours a week for 12 weeks. Read more in this document. |
