Living Histories: Hao Hu

Hao Hu is a student at the University of Sheffield and joined this year. He plays the Saxophone, Piano and Guitar. He sometimes plays the Hulusi – a traditional Chinese instrument. Hao really likes the climate in Sheffield, as his home city is too hot and isn’t always suitable for the creative in him. In his interview, Hao played a piece of Chinese Folk music on the Hulusi.

Hao’s story is part of the ‘Displaced Migration: Living Histories project’ – a project by Element Society, in partnership with Storying Sheffield at University of Sheffield, and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Element Society is a youth charity based in Sheffield delivering development, social action and enterprise programmes to young people and vulnerable adults.
