Living Histories: Khalid Adam

Khalid is from Sudan and had only been in Sheffield for four months when he joined the project. Khalid moved from country to country, across Europe to finally seeking sanctuary in the UK. He misses his home, family and hopes to go back one day. He wants to get an education, to help the community in Sudan who are in an ongoing state of war. He has enjoyed being in Sheffield is happy for good friends and kindness.

Khalid’s story is part of the ‘Displaced Migration: Living Histories project’ – a project by Element Society, in partnership with Storying Sheffield at University of Sheffield, and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Element Society is a youth charity based in Sheffield delivering development, social action and enterprise programmes to young people and vulnerable adults.
