The Internet has provided us with many gifts: the gift of being able to
connect with others all over the world; the gift of information,
education, and sometimes love. For many people who are isolated, the Internet has been a saviour. The Internet can be both a good thing and
a bad thing for sufferers of mental ill-health. People can connect with
others anonymously and use this to live out periods of mania or
depression without the fear of wrecking their own lives. The Internet
has a dark side to those who are vulnerable. Believing that you have a
spiritual connection with someone you don’t know or handing over
personal information or money are just a few examples of this. The
black keyboard represents this dark side to the World Wide Web.
'Everything I have ever kept,' by Victoria
I started keeping things that meant something to me when I was 6. This is a box full of my prized letters, artefacts, and fragments of story.
