Untitled

As I walked down the road and towards the town passing through the road
side covered with un-matching shades
of yellow formed by the leaves.

They been dressing the trees for the past six month and now
Mother nature's way of saying, “Let's unveil you for another showdown”.

It suits me, I feel like a king walking on such vibrant colours of god’s
Given tapestry, tasselled with overripe and un-picked berries.

Reflection on a Slow Development

Twenty years later, they found out much more.
I learnt new words- myopochondria,
Neurological, carried much less fear.
Genetically transmitted- no cure
Nor did I want one, I was simply me.
They were amazed that I had worked at all-
My crap job for years- Now, status symbol.
Those „normal‟ things I couldn‟t do- YIPPEE!
It was bring on this life aged sixty-four
Those good times started then. It could be worse-
Child stars done at fourteen are far more cursed,
It takes a long time for some to mature.
Philip Larkin got it wrong- odd? Freak? Fads?
Just no! They help you up, your mums and dads!
