The Storying Sheffield course.   

This is the original Storying Sheffield project, in which undergraduates and people from the city work and study together to create artefacts and narratives representing the life of Sheffield, and Sheffield lives.




 

Sheffield Film Studies & Sheffield Studies Film: City-Image-Memory 

In this strand, primary school children work to think about and re-imagine urban space using film and imagery.


 

Partnerships  

Storying Sheffield works with a number of partner groups and institutions.  These include Museums Sheffield, NHS Trusts, local artists and businesses, and the Off the Shelf festival of reading & writing.

 

 

 

Storying & mental health 

This section introduces the ways in which the techniques and ethos of storying has been used in mental health contexts.

 

 




Coma Voices

Working with people who have experienced coma and brain injury, this project studies the representation of these experiences, and the perceptions of the writers.  Read more here.

 


 

 

 

Civic & social engagement 

Details of the various ways in which the Storying Sheffield is helping to build a 'porous university' and foster productive working relationships with Sheffield's communities.

 


 

Working in secure psychiatric facilties
