“Alister and Angela are a mother and son whose stories we decided to tell together. Alister is nineteen and was recently diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, whilst his younger brother and sister, Gregory and Georgina have much more severe autism. We wanted to give people a window into their lives and show people what it’s like for them to care for heavily dependant family members whilst dealing with everything else life has to throw at them. This photo-story tells Angela and Alister’s stories as well as articulating our own take on the process and what we’ve learned.”
